Yeah, I always wanted the 5.4 until I heard about what garbage they were unless they were well taken care of. My 4.6 is 12 years old and has never seen the shop. And technically, I wasn't speeding. My speedometer was reading between 75-80 and they got me for 87 in an 80. Guess I should get that calibrated. But that's not what has me angry.
Got the second shroud painted today and took apart one projector to paint the cut off shield for my passive demon eye. Just doing them one at a time so I can be sure of reassembly. According to tracking my spare headlights will arrive tomorrow then I can tear into my existing housings.

I agree, they are garbage if neglected, but so is any engine, lol. My 5.4 has 142K on it and never seen the shop, hope it stays that way!

Looking good. Maybe some day I will get around to splitting open the ones I have and messing with them.
Haha I got pulled the other day for speeding and just got a warning then ended up talking to the trooper for ten minutes about trucks lol
The speeding thing was sort of my fault because it's my responsibility to recalibrate my speedometer, and that's what the ticket was for. But he also gave me a warning for riding in the left lane while not passing which is bull because I had just finished passing AND they were parked so close to the damn road that I felt like being in the left lane was a safe idea. Being raised in a law enforcement household, I was taught to always get over when an officer was parked on the highway. They were parked in between the entrance ramp and the rest of the toll road and I always move over a lane for those crazies that don't look and just get on the highway without looking for other cars. As soon as I passed the trooper and the entrance ramp, I got over and continued on my way. Then I looked in my mirror and saw the red and blue and pulled over.
