Default What is this Black Box?

I have tried to look up the part numbers for this box but typing in any of the numbers or letters given have given me no results on google. I saw an older form on here discussing what it is but no real definitive answer was given. The box is located right in front of the coolant reserve box and behind the stock intake on the driver's side if that helps I am wondering if it needs to be there? What is it? Can it be removed? The purpose of removing is to install a Spectre cold air intake but the heat shield installation is blocked by this box. Thank you to anyone that replies just starting my truck build so any other advice about what to do would help as well. Also looking for a mean exhaust system to install any recommendations? Price Range from $700-$1100

THAT, my good sir, is another fuse box (aside from your passenger side main fuse box). You can remove the top cover and see. Probably don't wanna take that out

Any thoughts about what I could do with installing a heat shield for an intake? Seems to be right in the way of the bar that is used to bolt one side of the heat shield to the frame. Any new placements or modifications made to a heat shield for a Spectre Intake that you've heard of?

i found this online...looks like there should be plenty of room for the heat shield.

As stated its just a fuse box, you need it but you could relocate if it wont fit.

Thank you all for the help for figuring it out what it is. It does hinder installation as the fuse box is clipped into a slot and the bar from the heat shield covers the holes for it to reclip in after trying to install it. I was planning on relocating it either by getting so velcro or zip ties and moving it out of the way however it is attached to the line for the coolant reserve box so it doesn't have much room to go. If anyone has done this build on a 06 F150 with that fuse box any suggestions will help. I have watched a video on a similar installation on a 06 F150 but there F150 did not have this fuse box anyone know a reason why?
Attached are pictures of the heat shield with the bar sticking out attaching to the bolt from the coolant reserve box as seen in my first picture.

On/off topic: but it shouldn't matter whether or not the filter is cylinder or cone shaped right? So long as it clamps on correctly?
