Hey guys I have a 2005 SCREW xlt with the 5.4 in it..aanndd the 4wd doesn't work the lights come on every time u turn the **** it also sounds like it engages but it doesn't both 4H and 4L does not work it was I had it lifted after I bought it so my wife got stuck in a mud pit and that's how we found out that it does not work I even tested my dads truck to see if it felt the same and I could defently tell his worked n mine didn't soooo what could the problem be

It could possible be your solenoid that is bad

Also how could u check to see if that's the bad peace or if that's chasing the problem...

Check out this thread I posted and the fix I found. This may be your same issue. At the very least it will inform you of what all components these trucks have and what/how to diagnose the issue.
