I kinda want to make it bigger. I really like the embossed script logo on the 18+ tailgate but about 25% larger. Ideas ideas ideas...

You unfortunately must have gotten old stock. They were redesigned right around the time you replaced yours. The new 3D style ones won’t do that.

I'm pretty sure it's the new style. The Ford script looks and feels like a separate piece inset into the background. It's developed this funky pitting in the clear surface.

I wonder if we were to hit a new one with some clear coat, if that would help.

Weird. Mine are also 4 years old and aren’t doing that at all. Maybe it is your Florida sun!

I thought so, too, but the surface is still smooth. The issue is definitely 'in' the material.

Mine did that on my '07. The clear will eventually start coming off and the blue will go away. I glued some covers on from an eBay seller. They were black with chrome lettering, looked perfect when I traded the truck in 3 years later. I used Liquid Nails Construction Adhesive on them, never had any concerns about them falling off.

Scorge...FYI...I was wrong. It is surface pitting. Even though it is smooth to the touch, the damage cleaned up with some Meguiar's body scrub. I am pretty disappointed that this relatively new part pitted so quickly. Oh well....
