I have a similar issue to yours. Not sure if it's the same sound but I've read a lot about a IWE solenoid for our 4x4 located passenger side against the firewall in the engine bay. It's $30 to replace and the new one has a water shield on it to prevent this from happening. Again we could have two different issues but for $30 I'm hoping once my part gets it it will fix it. Good luck and let us know what u find out!

Took the tire/wheel off yesterday and got the slow leak in the bead fixed. I checked the brakes and they seemed to looked ok but I blew them out with an air hose. There wasn't really any play in the wheel but a tad. The sound is much less evident now, but it was raining really hard so it wasn't easy to tell. Its definitely not as loud, can be heard in reverse and in drive it is now much less loud now. I got new rotors a while back but the pads seemed fine so I left them alone, maybe i'll change those out and see. Its a light scrape once every revolution.
