Default Used 2008 F150 Super Crew Pro/Cons

I'm close to buying a used 2008 F150 with 55K miles for a pretty good price around 12K it seems.

Any pro/cons to the truck? It has a 4.6L engine and is RWD. I don't have a camper or pull a lot so I don't really need 4wd. Mainly a drive to work truck.

I did notice the antifreeze which the Carfax shows was flushed last summer seems kind of orange/brownish not very clear. Is that normal for F150?

Thanks

4.6 is a fantastic engine. Not super powerful, but very reliable once taken care of. Check to make sure all service has been done.
I'd go ahead and do fuel filter, plugs, oil, air filter etc. It may be low mileage, but it's 11 years old
Might sound crazy, but could you post a pic of the coolant? Might be good to test it , too
I'm thinking it was flushed with orange... I'd do it again and use gold

antifreeze should be a yellowish gold color and that truck while not a power house will get the job done

the 4.6 is a very good engine. I have a 4.6 in my truck and can't complain a bit. I bought it from a buddy who had owned it since it had about 1000 miles on it. he said the person who bought it new traded it for a f150 with a 5.4 because the 4.6 was not powerful enough for him. my buddy is a carpenter, so truck was not treated like gold. it hauled everything he needed to. anything from bundles of lumber to a 5 ton excavator. truck never let him down. now with 264,000 miles on it, doesn't have the power it used to but does everything I need it to. if you take of the 4.6 it will be super reliable and will last a long time

Assuming that the maintenance is done, sounds like a solid powertrain.
