Upsizing to a larger rim?
I currently have 17's on my truck now. 04 2WD XLT suicide doors. If I upgrade to 20" rims, how much will my odometer be off? Can it be calibrated? Thanks.

Yes your edit: speedometer can be "recalibrated" at the Ford dealership. Or you can use a tuner and enter the tire size to get the proper speed.
Also depending on your tire size, I'm not sure if your odometer can be recalibrated.

What I've noted in my research is that Ford used about 30.5" OD tires on the 2WD. The 245/70-17 is that. A 265/50-20 is the same OD so speedometer should be good, clearance SHOULD be good.
So it is a matter of your size from the factory, new wheels, and new tire size.

Discount Tire's website has a good tire size calculator / comparison tool that'll show you the exact difference on your speedometer between two different sized tires. Like others have said, you can throw a rubber band around a 20" wheel or a beefier tire on a 17 and they'll have the same outside diameter/same speedo readout

I have 255/65/17's now. I think I want 275/60/20's That's only 1 1/2 higher for the truck, (3" overall for tire size) and fills out the wheel well some more, plus lower's my rev's and is about 2-4 mph off .Thanks.

That's almost a 33" tire. That size will not fit a 2wd truck without a level kit.
