Hi guys I just wanted to post that you can update your pats key to the new current "all in 1" key from the current f150. I went to the dealer and got one made for $85 here is a pic.

I might have to do that. Carrying around 2 keys and two remotes kinda sucks. My truck and work van have the same keys and remotes so Im always mixing them up too.

Or you can do a flip key yourself.


This one is $75 but you can get them for much less.

That one says it comes with the chip but you have to watch some of the cheap ones do not which means you can put the remote in and cut the key but the vehicle will still not work. And you still have to either have the dealer program it or you would have to know the trick there is to program it. My key cost $85 straight from the dealer so it is a ford part and is authentic to the f150. But it all depends on what you want just wanted to put my find out there.

I have bought this flip key twice on ebay. Once for my truck. Once for my dad's. Both have worked perfectly and only cost me the key at $19.99 and $4 at a locksmith to have it cut. The programming instructions are all over this site and took literally, 30 seconds.

Whaaat... I paid $180 for my regular key and remote from my local dealer. I feel scammed!

remotes are cheap on ebay
