Default Unity post mount spitlight install

Finally got enough ***** to drill through my "A post " and install my spotlight. Everything went pretty smooth, actually. Next I plan on upgrading the bulb/ lens to LED. Can't wait to try it out at night. My off road lights only point forward, so it will be nice to aim another light anywhere else I'd like to see.

Thanks. Unity sells the vehicle specific mounts for $50. My advise, call them to double check you are ordering the correct mount. The part numbers for right/ left hand mounts are confusing. Another thing, get a long enough 1/2" drill bit. Mine are only 6" long or so. You'll need at least a 10" long bit to make it all they way through the post at that angle. The rest was easy... just read the instructions and go slow.

Nice unit!

Just be careful to keep it greased on the shaft, I had the same one in my bronco and used it a lot!..The twist handle striped out on me from not keeping it greased after mudding. Mine never leaked water but forcing it around made the rod bend just a C hair, So be kind to it!...

Maybe its because its on a truck but is the light smaller than those you see on law enforcement and utility trucks?

Nope. Same size. It's actually off a police Charger.

Thanks Especial, good tips. I can't wait to get that LED drop-in replacement lens. The lens now is kinda yellowed. I work for a municipality so I was able grab this one that was taken off a car that went to auction.

I think it just looks a little smaller due to proportions. Appreciate the write up. Look forward to doing this down the road.
