Sweet! I like the waterproof one. That will probably be the route I end up going with.

Yea, just remember that's not an automatic on type. You have to click it on and also click it off. It's not momentary, it's maintained/toggle.

Shoot didn't notice but now the word "manual" in the title makes more sense lol. My luck I'd forget to turn it off.

Well then a hood pin is probably your best bet... it's either that or going the uber extra route and sticking a notification light in the cab so you can tell if the hood light is on or off at a glance.

You could also wire them into the dome lights.

On my '02 I used some of these COB LED light sticks for an underhood light. The '02 has an automatic underhood switch I tied into, but as said, a pin switch, mercury switch, or tie into dome lights would work.
I have had mine under the hood for almost 3 years now and still work great.
