The suggestion above of going with one of those with a shorter than 3.5" might be your only option. I know some of the f150 joint replacement kits come with shims that you have to put on top of the cap before you put the snap ring on, so maybe that could be an option for you?

To Rivid
Any update?
I was unaware that "some of the f150 joint replacement kits come with shims that you have to put on top of the cap before you put the snap ring on" good to know.

One more suggestion, Moog has a chat line embedded in the website I listed in reply #8, give them a call and see what they can tell you. I am still amazed that you are having this issue with a production vehicle like a Ford f150.

Default Ujoint problem

Spent half day other day online and with different companies trying to match ujoints. Nothing even close or available. This is ridiculous! It’s only a 2005! I tried finding some with spacers but couldn’t find anything. I’ve tried Splicer, Moog, Neapco and several others. Called Moog, they got nothing!Don’t know where to turn to next

Have you taken your old u-joints to your parts place and matched them up to the new u-joints?

Are your old u joints the staked in kind? Those are the ones that I've seen have spacers for the new ones, but they are like 1.066 dia x 3.787" length and the spacers are like .031" thick..

Yes I bought the old ones in including the yoke and callipers to measure. Nothing close. Can match caps no problem but not the length!
I don’t think they are the staked ones cause there’s no spacers just the regular clips

Go to ebay and enter 5L34-4602-MA F150 4WD NEW SERVICEABLE DRIVESHAFT.
I think the information provided there will resolve this issue. Looks like your drive shaft is a "non-serviceable" model
BTW I got the driveshaft number from the post you placed in the General Discussion Forum

Ujoint problem thanks bud. Did look it up on eBay but mine is JA on the end. Don’t know if that makes a difference but everyone I measured around with the same numbers and different letters in end were longer. Thanks again for your help. I emailed a few sellers on eBay asking to get some measurements

You didn't list if you have a 4WD or 2WD.

Are you the original owner? If not, maybe it was replaced with an aftermarket one and that's why you can't find an exact replacement. If all else fails, another thing to consider is you could just replace the whole drive shaft. It looks like they're around $300 for the one piece 4X4 one.

Go to Fordparts.com and input your vin. number, then search drive shaft. It should show you the exact part for your truck.
