Default Typical running amperage at Idle?

Anyone know what the current draw is at idle with the truck running everything off? It seems like mine keeps creeping up and I'm not sure where I need to start checking. It used to be around 40-45 now its up to about 56 (it did spike to about 96 after startup for a few minutes but went down to the 56) and I've done nothing to the truck in years.

Default Are you measuring amps out of alternator or net load off battery terminal

One can be the condition of battery . An old battery may take more but still not charge properly . Amps also depend on battery volts ,a higher volts takes less amps . Volts is the push, amps is the flow , Watts = amps times volts .!4 .4v times 40 amps =576watts, at 12volts you need 48amps =576watts
