Default Turn Signal Issue

I've got an '05 F-150, and when I turn the blinkers on, they work properly, but while on, when I hit the brake pedal, the blinker stops blinking and the indicator light in the dash ckuster for the respective blinker stays on, until I let off the brake which then allows the blinker to start blinking again. Any ideas?

Does this happen on both sides or just one? Do you have LED bulbs in any of the lights?

My guess is you could have LED bulbs for your brake lights without load equalizers or a bad relay possibly.
