Turn signal or flashers working oddly or not

Unless you bought your truck new I'd wager someone took it out for some reason, either to replace it with another OEM, or whatever, and trashed the original trim pin

I would not say they would come loose very often but I certainly would not leave that dangling under the column

There is a reason it needs to be hard mounted; it's for the audible clicking. If it's mounted I guess it sounds "better" then just dangling there...........

I would always suggest using the Novita Flasher relay over any other brand.
The biggest draw to it, other than the fact that it's a timer based relay instead of a resistance based relay, is that it is rated to handle a higher load than the original relay to begin with.
And yes, I just used a zip-tie to keep it up there instead of the old push screw the original used.

I originally bought that Novita but cancelled it because it did not say it was LED compatible. Lots of the reviews said that with LED lights they still got the hyperflash. The one I ended up with works fine (JDMToy for LED's).

Yea, a lot of them probably have no idea what they're doing. I'm all LED and it runs fine. There's lots of vehicles who don't rely, strictly, on the relay for hyperflash errors/voltage sensing for bulb-out.
