Default Trying to figure out if my 04 F150 FX4 has 2 or 3 valves.

I can make heads or tails from that link and was wondering if someone could send me better info. Thanks guys!

If yours is a heritage, it has 2V. If it's the same body style as the 05, it's a 3V.

Yeah I bought a new 04 lariat right after the body change and it was the 3v, I think the last post is correct, if the truck looks like a 03 then its 2v, if it looks like the 05 then it’s the 3v.

Unless I’m missing something, there were no FX4 Heritage models in ‘04. Mainly just a bunch of XL and XLTs that Ford has left to shove off the assembly line.

So, no doubt a 3V 5.4.

dont see any mention of what engine you have. But if it’s a 4.6 it’s 2v
