Default Advice on Hypertech

So last week I got the opportunity to tune my truck with a hypertech tuner. I didnt have to pay anything for doing it but I have to give the tuner itself back tomorrow night. My question is should I leave it tuned knowing that I wont have the tuner to change it back to stock if needed? Is there any reason I would have to change it to stock when warranty work is out of the question due to miles? I definitely noticed a difference and I like it a lot more. Also if in the future I pick up and edge evo am I going to run into problems?

If you have it on a Hypertech tune and you get an Edge you may run into issues as the Evo may not recognize it as a stock tune. Hypertech's fuel trims and the way they go about doing the shifting is not something I'd want to run, and is why they are in the lower end of programmers for our trucks. I'd leave it stock and wait to get the Evo or even better a Gryphon.

Well when I installed the tune it gave me an option to mess with shift points and firmness and I left it alone. If you don't mind me asking, what about their fuel trims make them not so great? Also I called the dealership and they want $50 for a flash back to stock if I get an edge.

They tend to lean out on the top end like the stock tune. The better programmers and custom tunes keep a safer a/f, especially for towing or WOT.
