Default True duals or si/do

Hi guys wanting to get some exhaust on my truck and was wondering if there was any gain on our trucks with true duals or should I just go with a single in muffler with dual outlets. Didn't know if anyone has any dyno info or anything likethat showing the difference between the 2. Ive done it both ways but don't want to waste mony on true duals if Im not going to gain much more on my 5.4. Thanks

not much power wise is gained. maybe slight throttle response but I think most of that is in our heads. my buddy has true duals with flowmasters and I have sido flowmaster and I prefer the sound mine over his. especially at idle. his has a slightly higher pitch than mine. he does shear up and down he gets 2+ mpg better but when we took a road trip I calculated his mpg and we were the same.

I have duals from the headers back. You may notice a little extra peppiness, but nothing extreme. Most of it is probably just your mind playing tricks because your truck sounds faster. lol

Thanks guys, think Im gonna try just a different muffler for now then go single into dual later down the road. I have a Dynomax ultraflow muffler on the shelf Im gonna try with a bigger tip on end of tailpipe. Guess well see what that sounds like.
