Truck won't start. Any ideas ?
#11
Sounds like a dead battery to me. I have had multiple batteries working normally and then just die. The clicking sound is what I always hear when my battery is too dead to even crank over the truck.
Note - Even though the headlights and interior lights may be working doesn't mean the battery has enough juice to start. My last battery that went on me still powered the headlights and interior lights normally but would not crank the truck.

Thanks to everyone for your response, and ideas. I traced it down to the start circuit, and found a terminal on the solenoid, which is on the starter, corroded off. It looked OK, but as soon as I touched it, it fell away from the lug. Replaced the terminal, and it was happy times again.
