Default Truck wont start

Hey guys I've got an 08 5.4L that has been sitting in my garage for a week without running then I took it out on Wednesday and it drove perfectly fine. I went to take it out the next day and it won't start. The gauges say the battery is fully charged but the truck won't even attempt to turn over. Any ideas to get it running?

I forgot to mention after attempting to start it I take the key out and it sits there clicking. U can hear my headlight and tail light contacts clicking away. My tail lights have little side lights that are flickering on and off

Dead battery. Mine does that sometimes. How old is the battery? Pull the connections off, thoroughly clean them with a wire brush, put them back on tightly, get a jump start and drive for quite a while. Get the battery and alternator tested. Try to start again tomorrow morning.

I agree, this sounds like a bad battery to me.

Try a jump and have the battery load tested. Even if its showing full volts it still may be bad.

Thanks man! After work I'm gonna pull the battery out and give it a good cleaning. It was pretty corroded up but I wire brushed it but I'm guessing it wasn't good enough. Dumb question, I can touch the hot side bare handed right? Sorry electricity scares the crap outta me after my friend got hit with 3 phase before

Yeah, that'd be fine. Just treat it like any other circuit, you know, make sure you aren't grounded on something and hands aren't wet, all that jazz. Usually you won't be. You're insulated from the ground because of your shoes and you sound smart enough to not lick the positive terminal.
