Start by checking the Fuel Pump Driver Module....Located above the spare tire....

That is my first thought. Cause it sounds like its not getting gas. My buddy told me to lay under truck
By that module and have someone turn truck to on position without starting and I should hear that pump run for a couple
Seconds. If I dont then he said thats the problem. But im not sure if he is
Correct

The part of mine that I could see looked good too but the underneath side was literally falling apart in my hands from the corrosion.

It corrodes from the rear. I would take it off and inspect it. Then replace it regardless.

If it is the problem I have heard that 2 30a fuses in the wiring harness will let you start it and drive, but then will blow when you turn the truck off. Never tried it, read it on the site somewhere.

A Long flat head screw driver and vise grips worked for a key on mine.

It's your ignition key.
