About a month ago I noticed that whenever I put my truck in reverse and turn the wheel, something pops and makes kind of a grinding noise. It only does it once and then is fine. My friends are saying it is tires rubbing, but I have checked and they don't rub and it doesn't sound like tires rubbing. Do any of y'all have any idea what it could be?

2WD or 4WD ?

Could be a multitude of things. Check all your bushings. Check your strut bushings to see if they are in tact. Check your alignment.

It is 4WD. I have checked the alignment about 2 months ago and it wasn't too far off. I will check the bushings though.

sounds like an IWE... what year is your truck ? 06...see if you have the new IWE solenoid mounted to your firewall behind your battery, It will have a rain hood around it..

x2 I was wondering that too... slackattack, does it do it only in 2WD and not in 4WD?
