didn't know until I pulled it off that it was any different than a GM
I've cleaned at least a dozen GM now over the last 10 years and it works great
never had an issue
GM however you just a heated wire. looks a little different than the ford setup

 

hopefully it will all be well. But this is an instance that you should really go by the book and only us TB cleaner on the TB and MAF cleaner on the MAF.

The TB has a coating on it that will be taken off by Carb or Brake Cleaner. But, its your truck and you can do what you want.
