Default Oil Leak, What is it?

Purchased an 04 f150 5.4l 4x4 about 2 months ago.

Replaced fuel filter and fuel line due to clip being broken on filter.

Replaced MAF and had fuel induction service done about 2 weeks ago...

Noticed an oil leak today. Cant see a thing from the top, went underneath from driver side behind wheel and on the bottom of the motor, seems as though the leak is coming from there where the bolts are. or right near there following them.

Thinking valve cover gasket, but looking to see if any one with more experience than I, would give me any ideas on the issue.

Wont let me flip the images.. But its the driver side, so the bolts on the top picture would be on the right side, the picture flipped and they are on the left, in case any one gets confused at what they are looking at.

I'm not going to tell you exactly where yours is coming from, but I had the exact same leak in my truck.... I used a whole day cleaning the underside of my engine to pinpoint the exact location... My leak was coming from my oil filter adapter housing gasket... The oil will leak out and travel along the block and pan... This causes you to think the leak is coming from somewhere else... I would say to jack it up and remove the driver tire and check around the filter housing to be sure... The replacement gasket was $13 and took me 45mins to install (got hung up one tricky bolt).... Good luck...

I just noticed it, after driving the truck for a couple weeks. I'm guessing it's happened pretty recently or at least just gotten to a point where it needs to be addressed. As when I took these pics and posted my original post, there was little oil on the dip stick.

Would either of your suggestions give any symptoms when driving the vehicle?

The only thing that made me notice my leak was the huge spot in my driveway... didn't notice anything in the way it drove before or after I got it fixed...
