That's the post I bookmarked.

That's the album he has dedicated to the console conversion.

When you do the coversion take plent of pictures and notes please . I'm sure there are plenty of people, including myself, who would love to do this conversion.
I've gone through FX4andHARLEY's photos. If you notice, he actually modified two Lariat consoles to work with his existing dash. He never did actually swap out the dash itself. His work is quite impressive though.

How hard is it to remove the whole dash? Looks like a PITA!

There are 4 7mm screws that are VERY hard to get to if you don't know where they are. 2 are at the bottom by the kick panels. 2 are right up close to the front windshield under the pillar molding (facing the windshield). You have to use a short 7mm wrench to take them out and put them back in (1/8 of a turn at a time). Other than that, the only other complication was getting around the steering wheel. The opening under the gauge cluster is too small to allow the steering wheel to pass through without either removing the wheel or the whole column. Solution... cut the dash plastic at the support bolt holes. It gets secured again with the column support bracket then covered with the knee panel under the steering column.

I've still got 3 hours of sunlight left. I'm thinking I should tackle the console now.

Are you retaining the column shifter or making modifications to use the shifter in the console?
