Default Troubleshooting reverse sensing system

My back up sensors have been working intermittently for the last year and now they don't work at all. I checked each one and found that one of them(far passenger side one) is not clicking like it should so I replaced it. Still not working and the new one is now not clicking. Anyone have any experience with these or any ideas of what I should check? Thanks

Mine never worked proper, the will beep as soon as you put it in reverse then the light will turn on saying there off. I tested all the sensors individually and they all work. Is your problem like mine too?

Mine used to beep and have the light come on but now the light just comes on without beeping

Try this, shut your truck off and take a garbage can or something big and put it behind one sensor at at time. Turn the truck on and put it in reverse. It should beep for each sensor you try it on. The off light comes on after one beep for me. This way you can see if its a bad sensor or the problems else where like mine.

Default Something else to check

Here's something I read a while back relating to backup sensors. There is supposed to be a connector in the wiring somewhere around the transmission. Basically it stated the connectors can get corrosion in them and cause flakey results with the backup sensor system. Cleaning them up fixed at least one persons issues.

Sure worth tracing the wiring and see if it's correct or not.

A bad sensor may still tick, but not as loud as the others. Listen to see if one is more quiet than the others. Make sure the harness is good and clean, and follow wiring back as far as you can to make sure it's in good shape. If one sensor is out, or even only half-working, the whole system will shut off for liability reasons.

Now that was a confusing post. Which button? And is it on or off? I believe you meant to say the reverse sensor system will not turn on. You either have one or more bad sensors, or a wiring issue. More than likely a bad sensor.
