Good idea, also have noticed depending on temperature and relative humidity in the morning with AC on have the windshield defroster leak going on too...but that could also be the infamous foam breakage on the deflector as well. If resolved, will post update.

jack it up and selectively spray areas of concern of course its running
with somebody observing engine rpms .
start with the fpdm , then you have many connectors under drivers door /Then the fuel pump area on top of the tank . Don't forget the O2 sensors . Plus the trans area .

Update...replaced the FPDM with another Dorman and it seemed to be marginally better.
Also had the drivers side front brake caliper sticking, which I noticed by the burning brake smell and excessive heat from that wheel. Had a new remanufactured caliper installed and seems to be much better now.
Hopefully was a bit of the both contributing to the issue and it's corrected.

Yea ,don't get water on the top of the engine for sure
Not real healthy to hit manifold until they cool some either . Fine spray not so bad .
Your caliper didn't have anything to do with the engine but when one caliper goes the other is gonna fail next . Problem is they can ruin your wheel bearings and rotors . Cheaper to change caliper out ahead of time .
These pistons are composite and as they come out they absorb water and stick
intermittently after being pressed back in after brake job . Reman cal is $30-40 , rotor /nut /bearing $$$$.

You may have fixed your problem by now but I just wanted to chime in cause I haven't been on the site in a while. You might want to compare your FPDM housing to a new one because in my IMO it looks a bit rough and if it looks a bit rough on the outside, imagine how electrical wires may look on the inside compared to that metal housing
