mine died at 110k miles...a bearing let go and wreaked havoc inside

mine just got back from the shop went out on me when i was out wheeling had 140k on it. lucky for me i bought the extended warrenty and it only cost me $108.40 for a remanufactured one from ford.

109k with third tranny ford ate the bill on the first two, the third one happened around 90k miles and got a 3 year 50k warranty.

That is a good price. We just put one in an 04 (150k miles) and it was $2600 out the door with a Jasper Reman, 36 Month 100k Mile warranty. This trans went bad because he was in a wreck and the body shop didnt refill the trans and he drove around 4 quarts low. Luckily insurance picked up the bill.

Yeah I kept up with maintenance just had a flush and filter change in may of 2012...

I've heard a lot of good things about jasper transmissions! I've still got original with 112k on it and still running strong!

My planetary gears went and tore up everything else in the case. 40,000 miles. Dealership put a ford reman in it, but for some reason i only have what's left of my powertrain warranty to cover this one. That seems a little odd to me. Ford picked up $2600.00.

Does anyone know if a performance tuner would void a warranty? I never wanted to run with one because I've read on here that it causes premature wear on the Trans... Now that Im going to have a warranty on this rebuild I figured that I could finally run one with out worries.
