Default Transmission slipping when changing from 3 to 4th gear

Hello, i hope i can get some help figuring this out. I have a 2008 FX4 with 5,4v3 engine. About a month ago i had the transmission rebuild because it was shifting harsh up and down. i installed it and it was better, still some slight harsh but lots better than it was. After about 3 weeks i got a few codes which leaded to fuse 32. Found a short in the intake manifold runner control. Removed the plug and went for a test drive. Since i did this my car will slip when going in to 3rd gear. When the car was in safe mode all the gears were working. I have no trouble codes accept for the runner. I have allready tried another ECU. Had problems with the 4x4 part of the ecu and purchased a new one. Tried the old ecu, same problem with shifting. What could be the problem?

Did you get a warranty? If so, send it back in. If not, get one next time. It sounds like the retainer clip may be broken in a servo.

i have warranty on the repair. The thing is that i am a mecanic and i removed and fitted the transmission and will now have to do it again. I do not want to remove it without knowing for shure that i do not have a wiring or electrical problem. Today i drove it for a while and got faultcode P0731 "gear 1 incorrect ratio". I was also driving with the real time data and noticed that solenoid SSB was faulty. I will try to see if i can find something there. If that does not help i will have to take it out

Its definitely the transmission the fault code you are getting is a mechanical issue in the transmission I've dealt with this before it could be a variety of things like the transmission oil pump , torque converter solenoids not working correctly. Depending how extensive the rebuild was which most of the time only the normal wear items get replace I would drop the pan and check the solenoids and the valve body if they check out OK then the issue is more internal.

Also the simplest thing you can do is check the trans oil level make sure its now low when the truck is hot

i will have to accept that there is a mechanical fault and will have to remove the transmission.

i have removed the gearbox and the mechanic opened it up. There was a lot of dirt in the pan like waist from a friction plate. According to the mechanic there is no problem in the transmission. He said i have to change the torque convertor. Purchased a new one. Will put it back together one of these days. Strange is that i never read that the problem of not shifting 2 to 3 can be caused by a convertor

Hmm usually when a transmission is rebuilt the torque converter gets swapped out as part of the rebuilt to assure that the old one doesnt pump in debris and to and for it not to mess up the rebuilt transmission and come back to the rebuilder before the warranty is up

I have a 2006 SCREW with 5.4 flex, 189,xxx miles. Something has happened twice now and am looking for advice. I was cruising at about 50 mph and then I lift a little and then roll the power on easy. I get a hard bump and then the truck goes into failsafe mode. Both time it has blown fuse 32. Is there a solenoid or sensor in the trans that could be grounding out? The unplugging of sensors doesn't seem to work because the problem is not present when not in motion.

Fuse 32 is: Vapor Management Valve (VMV), A/C clutch relay, Canister vent, Heated Exhaust Gas Oxygen (HEGO) sensors #11 and #21, CMCV, Mass Air Flow (MAF) sensor, VCT, Heated Positive Crankcase Ventilation (PCV) valve (4.2L engine), CID sensor (4.2L engine), 4.6L/4.2L EGR

Has nothing to do with the transmission.

Fuse 32 is above Relay 201
