I'm at 185,000 miles so its not covered under warranty.haha Pretty much flooded the engine. Lucky found it in time but all the gas burned up the cat. That will be my next thing. Looks like I can get a universal magnaflow 51006 one for $132. Will that work for bank 2 and does anyone know of a cheaper one? I don't want to spend $250-$300 for a direct replacement with the pipe connected.

You are still driving it with a bad injector? STOP before you destroy your engine. Don't start it again until you replace them all.

Judging by your screen name you better heed VTX's warning. 05's got the recall. That bad cat is trying to tell you something... Likely an unburnt fuel issue.

No, I replaced the injectors. It happened a couple months ago. There is no way i could have drove it with the bad injector. Went a head and did plugs, wires, oil change, coolant flush. Since there was gas everywhere.

Check codes again today. The only code my truck is giving is a p0430 code. Cat below threshold bank 2. Hoping that is the rattle/ bell sound when it lags.
Back to my question tho. Where is the cheapest place to get a cat for the passenger side?

Hi.

You can try www.hottexhaust.com

If you can find a coupon code online it may even be cheaper.

good luck

I know stock exhaust is 2.5 would this 1.75 inlet/outlet make a difference? This is cheap and has the bung on the cat like stock

Another question if the code is-- p0430 Cat below threshold bank 2. If it was an o2 sensor would it throw a different code?

You could try replacing the O2 sensor but IMO it would be a waste of money. IMO the sensor is working and is telling you that there is an issue with the efficiency of the catalytic converter. You are already aware of the issue with the catalytic converter so just replace it, reset the code, and you should be fine.
