Transmission drain plug leak

I'm going to pull the plug tonight and put the anaerobic sealant I used on the plug body on the plug threads. May even ditch the o-ring. It seems pretty worthless.

Ditched the o-ring in favor of a 3/8" ID nylon washer. Applied some anaerobic sealant to the threads and underside of washer. No leaks thus far. I hope this is the solution to the leak.
