Default Trans Noise with edge evo

All has been good until yesterday. When I'm on setting 2 I'm getting a very slight shudder and a howl noise after it shifts into OD. Eventually it goes away after a minute or you let off the throttle. I've put the truck back to stock and shudder/howl is completely gone. Could the tune be showing a weak COP? The coils are original as far as I know. 150k. I'm thinking it has something to do with TC lock up. Idk
The edge is stock and I did a pan drop and filter change a few months ago.

Thoughts?

I have ran an Edge Evolution for the last 15 years, never an issue with it at all. I cant help answer your question but it is likely that you should at least rebuild your stock coils with new springs and boots. I like to file the copper contact in the 'nipple' of the coil with paper type fingernail files cut lengthwise.

If I knew it was a COP issue I'd just buy a new set of MC. I've ran the Edge about 6 months and all of a sudden i started noticing this noise. So I immediately put the truck back to stock and noise is gone. I'm wondering if the towing tune requires more from the COPs and their acting up? The boots and springs seem to be in great shape since I removed them when I did the plugs back in September and again a couple weeks ago when I did the timing. I missing the power from the edge but I don't want to goof up the TC if that's what it is.

I run level 2 with custom settings and never an issue. My cop's are at about 35k and are Motorcraft. I wish I had an answer for you.

Oh and every time you do plugs, boots and springs are a must in my opinion. Cost is like $40. I have used BWD in the past with excellent results.

Thanks for the replys Summers. Hopefully someone will chime in with a fix. I've put so much time and money into this truck in the 6 months it makes me sick. So another $350 for coils has me puckered up.

I'm almost ready for some exterior mods.
