Tranny Service
I just checked with the dealer to service my tranny and ask them to use Mobile 1 in it. According to them it is a NO...NO...they will not put Mobile 1, said it would cause my transmission to slip and over the long haul I would have to replace it.
First time I have heard of that so I email Mobile 1 to find out if that is correct. I looked in my owners Manual and it calls for Mercon V. I just figured Mobile 1 would be better but we will wait for the email replies.
Have any of you ran into this issue? What ATF are you using?

I'm running full synthetics on the truck = Royal Purple
Engine - 5w30
Trans - RP Trans Fluid
Diff - 70w90
I have had 75k mi on the engine w/ RP, 50k on the Trans, and 65K on the rear diff and still counting on all. Never had a problem (knocks on wood).

You shouldn't put Mobil 1 in your tranny, a $50 in it's g-string will probably go over better.
Your transmission calls for Mercron V. Use Mercron V, it's a forumla of transmission fluid not a name brand. So if you find a bottle of Mobil 1 Mercron V, go for it. I think I used Casterol the last time I added tranny fluid.
