Program code, in the computer of your truck. If you ever get reflashed by the dealer it will change it.

oh ok, would i be able to get this code by hooking up a scanner that reads the computer? my dad has his own business, and has the one from snap on that cost like 4K, and i would be able to just hook that up to it no problem. just wish i would be able to use it to change the settings instead of having to buy one.

I would think that would read it but you may not need anything. Just give Edge a call. They'll tell you how to read it.
