Default Towing mirror question

Hey everyone I'm thinking about getting towing mirrors for 2007 F150 but the stock mirrors are only power there not heated and they don't have the turn signals on them. The ones that I'm looking at are heated and have the signals would I be able to hock them up so that the heat and signal work.

If I'm not mistaken the wiring harness will plug right into the new mirrors and operate everything

My truck doesn't have heated mirrors either... So I don't think it would be plug and play for the heat. There must have to be a switch or something installed to control the heat function. The signals should just be plug and play though

Hey I'm in the exact same situation as you. If you're buying them online could you post the link to them so I can check them out?

They weren't plug n play for me...

, I have an '06 that didn't have signals or heat and I had to move pins around in the mirrors connector. Before you put the new tow mirrors on, look at the color of the wires in the tow mirrors, then look at the color of the wires in the door connector. Now move the mirror pins so that colors match, mirrors to door... No diagram told me this, figured it out on my own. Good luck

You have to add a module for the heat to work if I'm not mistaken.

Model year 2007 and later are plug and play, and i think it even applies to late 2006, but not sure about that. The lights, and blinkers are plug and play. The heat will ONLY work if you have a rear window defroster. If you do not, than the heat won't work. I have done countless hours of research on this, and even had my dealership test it. Glad I'm friends with the manager. I just installed a set of tow mirrors, (heat, turn signal, and puddle lamp) on my 08 XLT that only had power mirrors. I don't have heat but everything else was plug and play.
