Towing 30ft travel trailer with cooper/bfgoodrich offroad tires?
Anyone know if there are any ill effects of towing my 30 ft camper with tires like the cooper discoverer a/t3 tires?
I ask because I have normal tires (hancook dynapro at 235/75x17) on the stock wheels right now but I want a wider more meaty tire on the truck for getting my firewood and camping.
Just don't want to get in trouble when it comes time to tow the camper.
Any thoughts?
PS was thinking of maybe a 285x70x17

BFG A/T's would work awesome..

well no obviously they are not the same exact tires... I gave the specs on the two different tires I was looking at one was a cooper discoverer a/t3 and one may have been the cooper stt? either way just wondering if this type of tier is able to hold the pressure of 1200 lbs of firewood or towing my camper ...

My truck came with the Bf Goodrich A/T's and I've carried tile in my bed, that bottomed out the frame (many times in fact). If that helps you, with any weight concerns.

You want an "E" rated 10 ply tire for what your asking to do...

I am running the AT3's right now. They are load range E (10 ply). Can't tell they are 10 ply, the ride is great. It hauls my deck boat well, and I have overloaded the truck many times. COOPER would be my choice. JMO
