Top speed 85?
When I got 315/65/17 on my 2005 5.4 triton I tried to pass someone and my truck topped out at 85 mph. Curious I tried it again later on and once again it topped out at 85. Any help or tips to fixing this.

Oh it'll go faster, I've been over 180/kmh and still had more juice. I have a tune/exhaust/intake tho. Truck gets pretty squirrelly at those speeds tho. Lots of air pressure under your truck at that speed.
PS - don't get caught going that fast, here in Canada anything 50/kmh over the limit and you have yourself a date with a judge.

I've driven a few cars and trucks.
A 1973 Mercury Marquis Brougham rides real nice at about 90 to 100 mph.
A 1998 Chevy Malibu will not go more than 82 mph.
A 1992 Chevy 1 ton dually 4x4 will do pretty good on gravel up to about 65 mph.
A 1974 Chevy Blazer with a 4 inch lift on 35 inch tires will have Derek begging you to slow down at 85 mph.
My F150? At 75 mph, I get nervous. It handles like sh*t at highway speeds.

The custom tune in my LivewireTS was set to a 100MPH limit, which at first made me think it was a tad low; but as everyone else has said so far, I don't think I want to be going much faster than that. My brakes were just inspected at the dealer and are well in spec and the truck still sloooooowwwws to a stop.
