Default Tonneau / Bed Covers

I'm looking for an inexpensive (if there is such a thing) Tonneau cover for my 2004 Super Cab with a 6.5' Bed.

What are you guys using?

I'm thinking that the soft cover would be fine for my need -- No tool box. Use Truck a couple of times a week, but bed needs to be dry when I use it.

Thanks,

Tom

Truxedo Truxport. Have it and love the ease of use and being able to roll it right up to expose the entire box. Probably the cheapest option to boot.

I just put one of these on mine. $150ish shipped. Installs in about 1/2 hour if you're familair with installing things (the instructions are .. not real good). Fits well and seems to be well constructed. Can't comment on how it holds up over time as I just installed it, but it has a 3 year cover warranty and lifetime frame warranty.

Here's a link for the 6.5 Ft verson you can check out: LO-ROLL & LOCK SOFT TONNEAU COVER

You can get a TonneauPro similiar to it with a more convenient latch system for about $100 more.

Look on your local Craigslist, 6.5ft bed is so popular there's usually people selling used ones cheap.

x2. I just purchased a truxedo tuxport about 2 months ago and have been impressed with how dry the bed stays.

Default Have the fiberglass cover on short bed

More money but very secure, Had it put on by dealer . Dry and hard to take off . Hard to get stuff in the front of it but since I carry a lot of tools it really has been the ticket . Locks up nice .

Not cheap but I think a good compromise between a hard or folding cover and a soft one is the Truxedo Titanium. I just installed on on my short bed yesterday and can say that it's pretty good quality, installed in 30 minutes, and fit was perfect.

It rolls up like a soft cover but has hard aluminum strips in it that will support up to 400# of snow and locks the bed if you have a locking tailgate.

I've had the truxedo lo pro on my truck since 2008. Works great and I've never had an issue. I don't remember what I paid though.

OK. Good input.

I will make a decision and report back!
