Default Tires and $$$...where's the compromise?

My '07 Screw is getting 33's in a couple of months and I'm on a budget. What are your preferences when aggressive tread pattern and money are important. Obviously, I'd like to put Nitto Mud Grapplers on, but don't want to spend $300+ per tire. Pics would be awesome too!

For me it was saying goodbye to BFG AT/KOs. I used them for many years in west/central TX because of the extra sidewall protection. Now I'm in east LA and don't have to deal with rock much. After a good bit of research I opted for the General Grabber AT2, which has a similar tread pattern to the BFGs, but was almost $100 a tire cheaper for the full set (265/70-17"). I've had them for about a year (14K) now and am happy with them.

If you running a 17" wheel look into some Kelly Safari TSR's. The are very affordable and have heard nothing but good reviews. I'm planning on getting some 315/70R17's when I get some money saved up.

Firestone Destination AT is a good tire. Tirerack advertises at 166$ for the 44psi. Over 200 for the 80psi. Sears though, seems to have a good online price. I was quoted about 720 for mount, balance, disposal.

I just put on a set of 18" Terra Grapplers at $225 each. I wanted at least a 6 ply tire and this one in a 10 ply was actually cheaper.
