Tires and Rims - Nooby
Hey, im new to the forums, This is my very first post.
I recently bought a 07 screw about a week ago and must say i love the truck so far. Im looking into lifting it and getting new rims/tires but ireally dont know much about it.
I've kinda narrowed it down to a 6inch fabtech but i guess my question is about the tires. Ive decided on the Toyo mud terrains but im not sure on the specs. Would 35x13.5x20r rub too much? How far would they stick out? i like the look of the tires sticking out a bit but i dont want to have to stick those big ugly flares on to keep it legal. Should i just stick to 35x12.5x20? and i know nothing about backspacing or anything lol. Thanks for the help.

Oh i didn't know it depended on the rim. Haven't picked a rim out yet but im going with black for sure. Anyone know any good sites i could check out? or which is a good make? I heard ION makes good ones so i was going to check them out.

ok i think i found some.
they are: ION Style 136 black w/mach rim
20"x9" lug pattern 6x135(pretty sure thats what i need for my f150) hub size is 87mm but im not sure what the difference is in the offset sizes.(+15,+30 ect.)
those plus 35x13.5 toyo mud terrains under a 6inch fabtech lift work? or is it too big/will rub? should i use the same set up but only 12.5inch wide tires? how would this all look?
dont really want to buy a set up tires/rims and a lift kit if they all dont work together. thanks for the help, appreciate it lots.
edit: heres a pic of the rims. http://www.thewheelgroup.com/wheel.asp?b=5&p=407
my 07 f150 is red so im hoping its going to look good.

Cmon' i know you guys get asked this kinda stuff a lot but that's why im here! Im just a noob lol.
Im thinking those rims with 35x12.5 toyo m/t will most likely be what i will get but if 35x13.5 would work on those rims and still not rub with a 6 inch lift than that's what i want. Just need some help as to what would work best. Not sure what the offset is or what its for either. TY.

I'm pretty sure you'll want a negative offset but -38mm seems pretty drastic (not really sure)
I know alot guys run -12mm and don't have any issues with 35's and a 6" lift.
I can't say anything for myself though, my truck is a totally different breed than yours.
Try searching the site for newer model trucks

i dont know im still confused. can someone just tell me what what sizes would work with this rim. http://www.thewheelgroup.com/wheel.asp?b=5&p=407
i have a 2007 f150 screw 6.5' box. looking into a 6inch fabtech lift with 35x12.5 toyo mud terrains.(35x13.5 preferred-need someone to clarify if they would rub or fit nicely) i want 20'' rims but dont know anything about the other sizes or specs i should be looking for before i order. i want the tires to sit out a little bit, i like the look of the truck with a wider stance.
