Kumho Road Venture MT KL71 35x12.50 fit perfectly under mine with a 2" leveling kit. No rub, no road noise, excellent in RAIN/snow/mud, no morning wobble. I have almost 15,000 miles on mine and hardly any tread wear. $278/tire. I purchased 4 with a warranty for $1496 otd from Discount tire. With the warranty they have free balance and rotation every 5k miles, free flat repair, and if they can't fix it they'll give you a new one. I had a nail on my first rotation and they took the tire off the rim to make sure it didn't go through. Great deal. I am very happy with them. I will get pictures up later after I give her a wash.

The difference in price I believe is from the warranty he said he purchased, not sure.

I'm saying Discount is a good place to buy tires is all. I would have never bought the warranty though. I get my tires rotated and balanced every 5k and didn't buy the warranty!?!?

Yes it's because I bought the warranty. I'll do the math for you since it is so incomprehensible.
(278/tire) * 4 = 1112 + 60 (install and balance) + 11 (tire disposal fee) + [44.50 * 4] (Certificates for free replacement) = 1365 + tax = 1453.73

There you go. Now read and understand the post and do your own math next time before you pipe up chief.

I got the warranty because I am constantly driving in areas with nails and other hazardous items. I had nails in three of my old BFG A/Ts that were not repairable when I got the Kumhos (which were the same price.) I'm not going to spend over a grand for tires without spending a little extra for a warranty. In my experience I have learned to the extra distance and get a warranty or insurance. The warranty assures me that these tires will be on my truck until they are almost bald and that I will get the full life out of them.

yeah till u have to pay for the difference due to the wear from the old tire then ure stuck with one brand new tire and cant rotate it to the front cuz then u get a pull consern..... im not knocking warrenties but i hate hidden costs and i know the costs go up on 18 inch tires 20s are the cheapest to by tires for due to all the manufacturers switching to this as their most commonly sold wheel

Yes that's true. You do have to pay a prorated amount, but in their defense if I got "lucky" enough to get un-repairable nails in all four tires every time they started to go bald then I would never have to pay for a tire again.

These tires are expensive yes and the warranties are geared in their favor. I'm just glad to know I'm not going to get hit with a "well sir you have three tires with un-repairable nails in them. We legally can not put them back on your truck" deal. This is what happened to me on the last set. If one does have to be replaced I will probably just buy a second and hope they give me some sort of a discount. In the end I will have gotten 2 tires for the price of one which definitely covers the warranty and some. Overall it is hard to bite on a warranty, but if anything it gives me peace of mind. It's kind of like going to a casino...I go there planning on spend $50 for them to entertain me for a while. If I win that's great...if not, at least I got some free drinks and had a good time.

would there be an issue with 285 /65/18 BFG A/Ts on a bone stock 07 FX4 Screw?

I just purchased 265/70/18 Bridgestone Dueler Revos and they're rubbish! Truck had 275/70/18 Good Year Wranger silent armours on them, needed a pair so local Good year dealer wanted 375 CAD a tire + install + balance + envioro charge + tax. I went with the stones that still were 1240.00 CAD ( for 4 of course ) but that's installed, balanced, road hazzard, tax, etc. Plus you get free rotation, free flat repair across the country, replacement if can't be fixed for 80K. This is Canada, we don't have allot of discount online tire places, and those that do want too much to ship and too much from a local shop to install and balance, so no real savings purchasing online.

these stones ride like that's what they are made of, so I am totally not happy with them, truck is very darty now, vibrates at 60-70 mph, and feels like I am riding in a 3 ton now.

The tire shop 'may' swap the tires when their mechanic takes it for a cruise on Monday, so I'm eyeing up those BFG's instead. Kal Tire says they have a 'customer must be satisfied' gaurantee .... and I sure am not satisfied. In fact, I feel like I was robbed or something, I want to put back on the good years because they felt solid on the truck.

Unsure if a narrow tire would cause the ride to become harsh because there is less contact width, 10 mill per tire over the good years, or if they need to break in, if there really is such a thing? I race karts so I know when I get a new pair of slicks on the thing, it sucks until the first heat cycle goes through the tires, then they are great, but that first run is chaos.

* for curiousity, I put a tape on the width of the tire Bridgestone against the Good year, and there was 23 mill difference, so basically an inch less in width ... ouch, don't like that at all.
