Also, I've read that this size tire is not recommended for a 7 1/2" rim. Can someone who has knowledge on this tell me if I will experience any problems with premature wear or anything.
I joined this site a few weeks ago so I could do some research on this but quickly became overwhelmed with all the different opinions, so if anyone can give me some advice from experience it would be greatly appreciated. Pictures are nice too! Thanks.
I have an 08 Super crew with 18 inch stock rims. I just put 295 65 18 Good year Dura tracs on with no issues. I have a 2 inch level on the front end.

Default 20" wheels

I know that this is the most over asked question on here, but there is too much expense to make a mistake. 2006 with 20" factory wheels on an FX4 with a 2 inch leveling kit.
I want a pretty aggressive AT tire and have been looking at both the BF AT as well as a nitto terra grappler. I do not want really wide (11'' is fine) but I do want to fill in some of the wheel well. Suggestion on best size would be GRATEFULLY appreciated.

I have 295/65/20 nitto trails on my stock FX4 wheels and they rub going in reverse when turning more than 50%...thats a 35.1x11.6 tire...and i have a 2.5in level...so id say dont go with what i got. i also have a quarter inch spacer up front to keep them off the control arm. im getting new wheels put on this week. good luck.

So do you think a 285/ 65 X 200 should be OK?

if thats the bfgoodrich tire then it should be fine because it doesnt have as rugged of sides of the tires as the nitto trails do...I would say you should be fine. however you should get some other opinions as i am not 100% and i know its not a cheap decision.

I ended up going with the BF AT's. The size I went with is a 275/65/20 I think that they fit the wheel well much better than the stock and have a nice look. Full turn, they miss rubbing the front inner fender by about a half inch. Therefore I feel very happy with the inpput from you and the decision I made. Just so others know, you can negotiate pretty hard with these. I went from $1504 to $1475 aand ended up at $1283 with an alignment.
Thanks again for the input, it is much appreciated.
