im looking for some tires and read the first post but didnt quite get the idea i just bought some 18x9 wheels with a -12 offset and plan on putting at least 2.5 inch leveling kit. Just wondering the safest possible tire combo to possibly not rub, while getting a nice height and width.

thanks

I'm looking at a pro comp rim which is 18", 9" wide and has a backspacing of 5.00". would put 33x11.50" tire on it would i have any rubbing issues or the same rim but a 17", 8.5" wide with the same backspacing and with the same tires size to.

I don't know if this will help but i have a 2008 supercab XLT 4x4

I have a 2006 F150 4x4 with 2.5 AS leveling kit, Monster 18x9 rims, 0 offset, 33x12.5 Dick Cepek FC II tires. no rubbing. You should have no problem as long as you have a 4x4 F150 & a levelling kit. Not sure without levelling kit.

So you think a 285/70R17 would fit on a 4x4 with a stock 17" rim with no rubbing issues?

I just put a 2.5 AS front and a 1" rear block on my 07 FX4 with 325/65r18 on the stock rims. No rubbing! Falken Rocky Mountains.
