Yes, I guess that is true. But on the spectrum on suckiness, these were much suckier than Blizzaks I have used in the past. And probably should have been clear on the definition of "ice" - on black ice (pure ice) all tires I have found to be equally ineffective. But in the Rockies we are like Eskimos with 150 different words for snow. From hard packed snow, to a foot of snow, to slush, to a mixture of hard pack snow/ice combos. These are the roads we drive in winter, sometimes all on one trip. Black ice is a more rare event.

My review above was referring to the hard pack / ice combo. I should have been more clear.

you have a 4WD ? those may fit but are gonna rub without a level.

the 295/75 is a big *** tire.. you may need to trim a little.. the 285/65 or 70 will fit perfect.
