I have the Rancho Quick Lifts and tried to fit some 315/70R17 Safari TSR's on some pro comp 17x9 wheels -6 offset and it hit in the front and back. I would have been ok with trimming the front, but not both. I ended up going with a 285/70R17 which is pretty much a 33. they look good but would have loved the 315's. Rancho claims you can fit 35x12.50 on most applications, but I don't see how.

Its 2.5, but i imagine its around 2in. I had goodyear put the 315's on and i went out and it was hitting both the back piece and the front trim. I decided it was too much to trim, let alone have room for any suspension travel. Sadly way up here in Northern NY there isn't much for off road shops or anything. they had the 33's in stock so i went with them instead of trying to find a different set for a 1/2 inch gain

Alright, after reading this I'm getting contradicting info. I was told the backspacing of the wheel will make the tire stick out of the wheel well. BUT, I've also read that the offset is what makes the tire stick out.
Here's my dilemma, I'm not sure what the offset does, and I'm looking to get my tires to stick out a half inch to an inch.
I'm just trying to get everything planned out. Currently I'm running 255/70/17s, but next year I'll be running 295/70/17s with a Rancho QuickLIFT loaded strut to level it out. I'm trying to decide if I want to keep my stock rims, or get new ones.
Just hoping to get some answers. Thanks everyone!

These wheels have 4.75in back spacing, and have -6mm offset (which is what pushes them out a little bit) I have 285/70/17's but you will see the 295's should fit fine. I would have went with those but no one had anything that size in town. Also sorry about the random picture orientation. I don't why they keep uploading like that because they aren't like that in the original file.
Shows the -6mm offset
Shows the -6mm offset
Front clearance of front wheel at full Right lock
Rear clearance of front wheel at full Left lock
Let me know if you have any other questions, hope this helps

I'm running 35's on my '05 SCrew with a 2" level. Had to trim a little plastic, and have a little rubbing at full lock - but it's not a big deal.
Both my rear shocks are leaking, so time for new ones. The shop also recommended new front struts (not sure why, I've asked them for clarification.)
If I do need to get new struts in front - is it better to just keep my 2" spacer, or switch to the spacer type struts that Procomp and Rancho sell - supposedly that alone can get you 2". I don't know if there is any benefit over the spacer/stock strut setup.
