The lower offset wheels cause the tire to swing over a larger arc when turning. This effectively put tire further foward and back at full lock and the corner of the tire hits the wheel well fender interface.
I have 35x11.5x17's on wheels with 6.25" back spacing and they clear with 1/2" to spare everywhere including some aftermarket mud flaps.
That big wide stance is killing you
Cheers,
Pete

You can go to an 18x8.5" wide wheel with a 5.5" backspacing and +25 offset and get them to clear the a-arm, but then you'll most likely have to do some trimming right where the tire passes the fender / wheelwell liner interface.
Just my guess depending on your lift/level.

It greatly depends on what size wheels you have. 20" wheels put the tire out past the a-arm and the swaybar. 325's on an 18" stock rub like a mother even at 33" diameter.

On stock 18" rims it should fit without rubbing, but I've never see that size on a truck personally. If you have wider and lower offset wheels, you will probably have to some trimming to do.

Previously in this thread another guy said he was running the 305/70/18 mickey thompsons with an 18x9 after market wheel with leveling kit with slight rubbing when the steering was locked...so i would imagine the 295s would fit with less of a problem i too am looking at the trail grapplers in that size with the 18x9 liquid metal gatlin in the matte black with a +10 offset dont think i will have any problems

2007 F150 4 door, no mods.
Currently about to replace all four tires, sized 255 65R17. I would like to get something a little bigger using the same rims...what size could I get and not get rubbing?
Thanks!
