I just don't to level it and have the tires look too small once I create more room.

Ok so I'm sure somewhere in the first 200 pages this has been addressed already, but search failed me..

Offset.. I don't get it.. where it applies is my 05 fx4 stock rims are 18's with a 44mm offset.. if I go to 17" raptor rims with a 34mm offset does that mean it's pushing the wheels out by 10mm or pulling them in by that amount.

I don't plan to push the tire limits either. I've got a level kit, but wanna stop around a 34"

How do you get an offset of +44? When I type in the stock wheel which says 7.5" wide with 5.5" of backspacing (from post #1), I get an offset of +32MM. Where am I going wrong?

FWIW, I currently have 265/70-17 on stock wheels. I want to upgrade to 305/65-17 on a wheel that's 9" wide. According to this site, I should be fine. The wheel will stick out about 2". I am currently at stock height but plan on adding coilovers that will adjust the height an inch or so to ensure proper clearance.
