Tire and wheel fitment guide for 04-08

What are you guys that are running the trail grappler M/T seeing for mileage out of them? Im looking to get 295 70 18 s for my f150 and have heard both sides...some forums have said they are about shot at 8k and others get 40k out of them. They are not cheap so I would like to keep them for a while!

I am confused about something... This thread states you can run 35s on a 4x4 with stock 18s and with leveling kit no problems, but I got a 6 " lift and had to get wheel spacers to fit my stock 18s back on so they would hit the control arms. I have 295/70/r18 Nitto Trail Grapplers. Now I have snapped the studs on the spacers and can't find parts here in Guam so I need new rims! Can someone please tell me what offset I need to clear these tires!? No one seems to have 0offset in what I am looking for, and I have no truck until this gets fixed.

I just bought my first f150. I'm wondering how big of wheels and tires I can put on it and what offset I'd need with my 3" lift. I have 17's and 33s on it now and curious to how much bigger I can go.

Phew! Finally found some recent posts on my predicament. I bought a 2006 XLT a few weeks ago. The previous owner had a 2" leveling kit installed and put on 35x12.50 tires on 17" Mickey Thompson Classic II wheels. I don't know the width or offset but they do stick out from under the fenders, but there's no rubbing. I want to get a more street-friendly tire and was thinking of changing to the Dick Cepek DC-2 rims. I would like to keep the current look. That is, having a tire fill the wheel well area. I hate the look of a tire that has so much open space around it. Anyway, I was thinking of getting another set of 35s, just not as wide....if that's possible. Then I was thinking maybe increase the rim size, and decrease the tire size. Stepping up to an 18" rim wouldn't really be much of a visual change so I'm thinking of going up to 20" max. Does anyone know if a 33" tire would fit on a 20" rim without rubbing? If I did go with an 18" rim, would a "street-friendly" 35" tire work since it won't have such an agressive tread? I included pics of the current setup. BTW, everyone seems to recommend TireRack but I found cheaper prices at McCormackRacing.

I order my tires/wheels for my truck and Jeep from Discount Tire Direct and no one local or online can come close to the prices and their service is great. They usually run Forum specials a few times a year and I watch for those here and on the Jeep forums.
