I am looking at getting some bigger tires. I do quite a bit of offroading, which often involves sidehilling and hill climbing in rocky terrain. I have heard over and over again that the 35's will fit with no problems, but find it hard to believe. Will they fit my truck and not rub with all the rough use?

Looking at Cooper STT 35x12.50r17

My reservations about rubbing are making me want the Cooper S/T Maxx 285/70r17.

What do you guys think?
They will fit. And not rub major offroading you'll want to go with 33's my 33's don't rub when I'm fully flexed out but 35's would.

You won't need to do anything if you plan to tow it just won't sit level with weight on it.
And if you put a 1in in the rear then your not going to be level when done an unloaded. If your worried about it being unlevel with a load get some air helper springs to raise it back up with a load. And 33's w/o level 35's with. Shouldn't have running issues And if you have issues with touching the frame and don't want to get new wheels then get some 1in wheel spacers to push them out far enough.

I have 315 70 17 on mine and i have no rubbing anytime, i would not hesitate at all bout rock climbing or big offroading in it. I only have a 2in level in front and 2in in back.

I've been looking at wheel / tire combinations and chasing my tail... I've got a 2007 F150 Supercrew 4x4. Stock suspension. I don't want to change suspension. I'm thinking about a 17x9, 6 on 135mm with 5.5 backspacing. Also thinking about 305/70/17 tires. Will this work without any suspension modifications? Also, how much will it raise the roof of the truck, to ensure it will still fit in my garage? Will the tires stick out pastthe fenders? I currently have 255/70/17's.

It's iffy. I'm not positive that's going to be somewhere around a 34 in tire unsure tho. I will say that if it does fit its going to be extremely close fit without a leveling kit. They will stick out some. I don't know the stock back spacing to give you an answer as to how much they will. Without a level you prolly won't see much over a 2-3 in rise in cab height

Can anyone tell me if a 4.625" backspace 17x8.5 wheel will fit on my truck? I have a 2006 f150 xlt 4x4 with a 2.5" hbs and a rear 3" block in place of the factory 2" (2.5 front,1" rear lift) I am running 285 75 17 nitto terra grapplers.

Should fit no problem. A 33 will fit without a level and a 35 will fit with one since you don't want to level then the 33 will be best. You might be able to fit the 33.8 but like I said it'll be close

Im sure this question has been beat to death, but what are some different tire size options i can go with under a stock suspension? i have the stock 17 but might be purchasing OEM 18's or aftermarket 18's. Any help would be great. Also id love to do a leveling kit (strut spacer) but am worried about the harsh effects of one. should i be worried? or are there any alternate routes of getting level?
