Question 07 XLT...first time buyer advise?

Hi guys/gals,

I'm going to look at an 07 XLT 5.4L w/ 50k miles next weekend . It has an aftermarket exhaust (exits passenger side before back wheels?), wheels/tires and looks like a level kit.

I'm going to bring it to my family's mechanic to check out but is there anything in particular to look out for? Mechanic specializes in diesels so I'd like to point him in the right direction.

Thanks in advance for any advise!!!

Private party or dealer? I guess finding out if there are any service records would be the biggest to me. Esp. with the cam phaser issue. Not everyone has that problem though. Rowland has a good idea with checking the exhaust manifolds.

Truck is being sold through a dealer. Waiting on the carfax from the dealer now...hoping only one owner. I'll add service records to the list.
