Not too bad of a job
Buy all Ford parts
Be patient
Go slow
Watch a few videos
A magnet is your friend when you drop those oil pump bolts in the pan

If things were ignored long enough to totally smash the guides, I’d leave nothing unturned. Check valvetrain, crank play, timing cover, everything.

You wouldn’t be the first to do a timing job and fire it up only to have low oil pressure after that.

For sure completely remove the oil pan so you can clean out all the chunks from the sump properly.
you don't have to, but I chose to replace all the cam roller followers and lash adjusters while I had it apart since I only wanted to open the covers once.
Vct solenoids, another while you're in there.
make sure you get a new o-ring on the oil pickup tube.
Take your time on the job and be meticulous.
